Message From Chairman
The Chamber is a voluntary organization whose
members consist primarily of businesses in the
Greater Bastrop area, both large and small. The
Chamber also includes individuals from the
community that, although they don't own, operate
or work at a member business, have a strong
interest in the mission of the Bastrop Chamber
of Commerce, which is:
"To improve the
economy of Bastrop and thereby, the quality of
life for all its citizens through economic,
community, and leadership development."
There are many ways that the community of Bastrop
benefits through the activities of the Chamber, but
it takes dedicated members like you, who
see the importance of coming together to accomplish
more than what can be accomplished individually.
Through Chamber activities, many Bastrop citizens
benefit both directly and
indirectly. Some of those benefits include
professional and personal growth.
One of the things to keep in mind, however, is that
an individual will get out of an organization what
they put in to it, and more. Participation is the
key! If you are already a member, I encourage you
to get more involved; to ask where you can serve.
If you are considering membership, we encourage you
to get involved in more ways than just paying your
dues and attending luncheons. We have a number of
committees and task forces that can benefit from
your talents if only you'll allow us to tap into
them.
Bastrop
is a growing community. You can choose to stand by
and watch, or you can join the over 525+ members who
have decided to make a difference in our lives and
the lives of others. It has been said that the best
way to predict the future is to create it. Let this
serve as your invitation to increase your
involvement, or to join as a member, as we strive to
shape the community the Chamber serves.
